We all have those mystery crystals. Pieces we purchased long ago and simply cannot remember what they are. Pieces purchased with no identification or information.
Pieces gifted to us, or pieces found in boxes at a yard or rummage sale, usually with the owner stating, "I have no idea what this is but....."

So, this will be the "go to" place to help identify those mystery or forgotten crystals. I will say in advance, that I will do my best to help in your identification process.
However, I will not be able to identify every one. Some I may give an educated guess. Others will stump me as much as they have stumped you.

Many times, it is a challenge to go just off of a picture, as opposed to holding it, looking at color, hardness and the like.
Some will be easy, some will not. But, I can promise I will give it my best.

Please Read the submission suggestions below

First, please make sure the picture is as clear as possible. It is very difficult to get a handle on a blurry picture.

Second, make sure the color is as accurate as possible. Any other information you want to share (rough tumbled, smooth, shiny, opaque (which means no light can filter through), semitransparent (meaning some light filters through) or transparent (meaning light filters through, clear quartz is a good example), etc. will be of great help.

Third, JPG format is best and 800x600 pixels is plenty large enough. If you do not know how to size a picture down, that is OK, just be aware that it will take much longer to send via email.

You have the option of emailing me and attaching the picture or if you are a member of The Crystal Moon Sanctuary Fan Facebook page, you can upload the photo there.
